Dolomie Console
The Dolomie console, designed by Joëlle Rigal, was crafted in France by a sculptor specializing in papier mâché. The idea was to explore the aesthetic potential of low-grade material. The console is hand-modeled, a process which makes it possible to shape massive volumes without producing waste. The qualities of the material are expressed through flexible shapes. The object's design emerges from time, accumulation and dexterity. Its air- and water-shaped volumes and coarse grain are reminiscent of mineral vestiges.
